Associate of Arts and Sciences in Biblical Studies: Great Commission and Jesus’ Discipleship Model
This curriculum is designed to reflect Jesus’ discipleship model and focus on the Great Commission to produce disciples who emulate Jesus (“little Jesus”) all over the earth. It meets or exceeds the standards of accredited schools in America.
General Education Requirements (30 credit hours):
- English Composition (6 credit hours):
- ENG 101: English Composition I (3 credit hours)
- ENG 102: English Composition II (3 credit hours)
- Mathematics (3 credit hours):
- MAT 101: College Algebra or MAT 102: Introduction to Statistics (3 credit hours)
- Natural Sciences (3-4 credit hours):
- BIO 101: General Biology or ENV 101: Environmental Science (3-4 credit hours)
- Social Sciences (6 credit hours):
- PSY 101: Introduction to Psychology (3 credit hours)
- SOC 101: Introduction to Sociology (3 credit hours)
- Humanities (6 credit hours):
- HIS 101: World History I (3 credit hours)
- PHI 101: Introduction to Philosophy (3 credit hours)

- Foundations of Biblical Studies (6 credit hours):
- BIB 101: Survey of the Old Testament (3 credit hours)
- BIB 102: Survey of the New Testament (3 credit hours)
- Life and Teachings of Jesus (9 credit hours):
- BIB 201: The Life and Ministry of Jesus (3 credit hours)
- BIB 202: Parables and Miracles of Jesus (3 credit hours)
- BIB 203: The Passion and Resurrection of Jesus (3 credit hours)
- Discipleship and the Great Commission (6 credit hours):
- BIB 301: Jesus’ Model of Discipleship (3 credit hours)
- BIB 302: Living as Disciples in the Kingdom (3 credit hours)
- The Holy Spirit and Empowerment (3 credit hours):

- This course requires students to integrate their learning into a comprehensive project focused on the Great Commission and Jesus’ discipleship model, demonstrating practical application and evangelism.

This curriculum ensures a strong foundation in general education while focusing deeply on the Great Commission and Jesus’ discipleship model, preparing students to be effective disciples and disciple-makers, spreading the teachings and example of Jesus across the earth.
